The soft opening of Wild Rose Jefferson, hinted at for weeks, happened Monday at 3 pm, and it wasn’t long before cars were in the parking lot.
The casino, Lucky’s Bar and the Iowa Store are open. For other amenities, like Coaches Corner, patrons will have to wait a bit.
John and Jackie Mobley of Jefferson were among the Monday guests. John learned it was open when he drove past. “I saw cars in the lot and wasn’t sure if they were the construction crew or customers,” John Mobley said. “I saw some of the potential construction crew were in their 80s, so I thought it was a safe bet.”
He gave Wild Rose a positive review, noting it was very clean with lots of natural light, the employees were very friendly and helpful, and “the machines were really cool and fun to play.” He said they would definitely go back.
